Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Silotour (silotour.com, operated by webfaCeMEdia, Toronto, Canada) collects, why, and who touches it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to build your tours, your content is yours, and we don't sell data to anyone.
What we collect
- Account data — your name, email, and sign-in identity, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk). We never see your password.
- Project content — photos you upload (resized in your browser before upload; full-resolution originals never leave your device), written briefs, generated tour data, and your edit history.
- Usage data — basic operational logs (requests, errors, processing costs) needed to run and secure the service. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To build, store, and display your tours — the thing you asked for.
- To process your photos and briefs into tour data, which requires sending them to the processing providers below.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use your photos to build datasets.
Who processes it (subprocessors)
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, storage, and delivery (Workers, D1, R2, DNS) |
| Clerk | Accounts and authentication |
| Model providers (via OpenRouter — e.g. Anthropic, Google) | Converting your photos and briefs into tour data. Uploaded photos are transmitted to these providers for processing under their API data terms. |
Cookies
We use session cookies for sign-in (Clerk's session, and a session cookie for demo access). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention and deletion
- Project content is kept until you delete it or ask us to.
- Published tour links stay public until the project is deleted or unpublished.
- You can export your projects at any time — portability is a feature, not a request form. For account deletion, contact us and we'll remove your account and content.
Where data lives
Infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global network; primary storage is in North America. Processing providers may operate in other jurisdictions. If you're in a regulated context (e.g. GDPR), contact us before uploading personal-data-heavy content.
Published tours are public
A published tour URL is viewable by anyone who has it. Don't publish tours of spaces you don't have permission to share.
